Youth Red Cross (YRC)

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) is an important division of the Indian Red Cross Society committed to promoting humanitarian service, social awareness, and community involvement among students. Our institution encourages active participation in YRC activities to develop socially responsible and compassionate individuals.

Objectives

The YRC aims to instill values such as leadership, discipline, empathy, and a spirit of voluntary service in students. It provides a platform for students to engage in meaningful social service activities and contribute positively to society.

Activities

The unit regularly organizes various programmes including blood donation camps, first aid and health awareness training, disaster management activities, and community welfare initiatives. These programmes help students improve their leadership skills, teamwork, and social commitment while gaining practical exposure to community service.

Student Participation

Participation in YRC activities enables students to enhance their personal development and encourages them to respond effectively during emergencies and social service situations. The YRC also motivates students to uphold the principles of humanity, care, and service towards society.

Membership

Students interested in becoming members of the YRC can contact the Programme Officer for enrolment and additional details. Joining the YRC offers students an opportunity to serve the community while developing valuable life skills and a strong sense of social responsibility.
