National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It gives undergraduate students at Indian colleges and universities the chance to participate in a range of community service initiatives run by the government. Through volunteer community service, NSS aims to improve students' character and develop their personalities. Furthermore, the NSS programmers' only goal is to give young students practical experience performing community service. NSS was introduced in India in 1969. Among the student communities, NSS emphasizes camaraderie, leadership, and unselfish social service. "Not Me but You" is the NSS motto.

In 2023, our college's NSS unit was established in collaboration with University of Madras. Instilling in the students a service mentality, discipline, leadership, and unity in diversity is the main goal of the NSS. Its goal is to make students more socially conscious and provide them the chance to collaborate with others in a positive and creative way. With the assistance of management and nearby villages, a variety of NSS events and special camp programs are arranged on a regular basis with a particular objective in mind.
